At One True Love and Light, our mission is to support those recovering from Mental Health issues and Addiction, while breaking stigma, and promoting wellness in our community. We are supporting those in need in the Niagara region, while shedding light on broken systems that deserve ethical reform inclusive of Love, Compassion, Mercy, Grace and Kindness.
Our vision encompasses the establishment of community programs and comprehensive sober living facilities catering to individuals transitioning from psychiatric wards, recovering from physical ailments or exiting our theoretical and/or current justice system. These facilities aim not only to provide shelter but to create a robust support system facilitating recovery and reintegration into society.
In the short term, our focus lies in creating a secure and communal environment through collaboration with community projects in order to feed and clothe the homeless.
Within the year, we aim to purchase a men's transitional living facility to serve as a bridge for compromised individuals, offering them a tangible support system and a safe environment for their recovery journey. Once established, we will acquire women's houses as well, so we can cater to the specific needs and challenges faced by individuals of different genders. These spaces will provide a structured and nurturing environment where residents can develop essential life skills, receive counseling, and access resources to help them reintegrate into society successfully
Long-term miracle goals involve the creation of a large facility, akin to a hospital, that would temporarily house many who are in desperate need, while also implementing rehabilitation programs that include continued care, spiritual guidance, recreational therapy, vocational training, job placement services, and partnerships with local businesses for employment opportunities. Regaining independence is a key component of reintegration.
Success hinges on sustainable programs that extend beyond our facility. Practically, fundraising initiatives, grant applications, and community awareness campaigns are essential for securing resources as a non-profit organization. Additionally, we call on the Canadian government to support and fund facilities like we envision, recognizing the societal benefits of mental health rehabilitation.
For interested financiers, we extend an invitation to contact us. Your support is crucial in turning this vision into reality and making a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Together, let us create a brighter and more inclusive future for mental health and recovery.
